POST 6: Climate Change and Society

Imagen
Climate change is the greatest environmental threat facing humanity. The planet has experienced climate change before: Earth's average temperature has fluctuated throughout history experiencing long periods of cold ("ice ages") and warm periods ("interglacial").  The rate of increase in global warming is different from past warming. The current rise in global average temperature is occurring much faster and probably faster than any warm interglacial period in the last million years. Climate change is imminent, today its impacts have caused environmental, social and economic damage. If we keep our arms crossed, the damage will increase more and more, generating very serious consequences. Some global data: The average global temperature has already risen by 1.1ºC since pre-industrial times. The period 2015-2019, according to the World Meteorological Organization, will probably be the warmest period ever recorded. The rate of sea level rise has risen to 5 mm per ...

POST 5: My Future Job

Imagen
Hello! I am studying Forestry Engineering and I am still not sure where I am going to work, I would love to go south and work there. What I have clear is that I would hate working in an office enclosed under 4 walls, I prefer to be outdoors and in contact with people, hopefully working on the move, visiting places. Before entering the forestry engineering career I swore that I would study Business Engineering or Accounting Auditor, I realized that it was not what I was looking for when I attended a university fair where I learned about this career and Natural Resource Engineering. At first I was captivated by Resource Engineering, but I didn't get the score and decided to be a forestry. Resuming the subject of working, it may be a good idea to be park rangers of some reserve or park, so I would have contact with people and enjoy the forest, but I am not yet 100% sure, I believe that I will not force the situation, let me carry through the destination, and I will see that is what h...

POST 4: My pet

Imagen
Hello today I will tell you about my dear pet. Several years ago with my family we were in an activity they performed in a square near my house, where a very small and white puppy appeared as a snowflake. The puppy was very hungry, apparently he had been abandoned. My son gave his cookies to the puppy and he was very fond of it. Then when we retired from the place the puppy followed us to the house and that's when we decided to adopt him. My son wanted to name him Ponchi and now he's part of our family. Ponchi has been with us for almost 6 years, he's a nice puppy and very playful. We feed Ponchi twice a day and he drinks all the water he wants haha is very good for drinking water. My Ponchi is an essential part of the family, I can't imagine a life without our puppy. It has often helped us cope with difficult situations we have faced. Ponchi is the first pet I've ever had in my life and I want it to stay that way until we're old, it's the best dog we love...

POST 3: QUARANTINE HOBBIES

Imagen
HI!! I don't know how to start this blog, as I don't have many hobbies and in this quarantine I have less developed them. I am practically all day on pc in classes, studying, reading, advancing reports, etc. When I'm not at the pc I do the chores of the house, I cook, I clean the house, I wash clothes and other things. Well, maybe I've developed my side as a haha teacher (I'm not) I've had to help my son in his assignments of the various subjects of mathematics, language, science and history. What I like to teach my son the most is math, just because it's basic things.  We have also done manual work (this isn't my thing.) of the different systems of the human body using plasticine, eva rubber, cardboard, colored frosts, phosphor sticks and ice cream sticks. Also, I've been your cameraman when you're given homework to make videos cooking, reading and playing.  These months have also served me to experiment in the kitchen I have prepared lemon pi...

POST 2: The Best Holidays

Imagen
Hello!! My best vacation was during my childhood and adolescence my aunt for taking good grades took me for January and February to the beach and from there we traveled different places. It was the best years because I had no worries and rested for the full two months, that was great. Every year I was going to watch La Vega de Pupuya, located in the sixth region. My aunt has a summer house in this town, so the whole family bothered her in the summer haha. We planned the week we went to different places like La Boca, Puertecillo, Lake Rapel, Bucalemu, Matanzas, Navidad, and many others. It is very difficult for me to choose the best vacation because every summer I went to Pupuya for me were the best, I loved the place because it was not very crowded, it was very clean, you could leave at any time without fear that you were assaulted and you knew all the people of the place.  Besides, you always had something to do, in the day we went to the beach or the wells, sometimes we walked al...

POST 1: A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Imagen
HELLO FRIENDS! I would like to visit Turkey to find out all the places where successful films and TV series have been made. In addition, I would love to meet the Turkish actors who are so talented and delight in their performances. It seems like a dream, maybe one day it will come true haha. This country catches my eye not only for its actors and TV series, but also for its customs and traditions, there are some that I really like as when they take off their shoes when they enter a house and drink tea and coffee whenever and wherever, that's great. I find their dances very interesting, especially the one they perform when a wedding is held, where they sing, dance and celebrate. The main mosques I would like to meet are: the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Suleiman Mosque. Turkey is a country where more than 90% are Muslims, but they are wide open-minded. Blue Mosque It is one of Istanbul's most famous and visited mosques. It was built by Sultan Ahmed between 1609 and 1...

Blog 6: Thing you are going to do after quarantine

Imagen
Hello my friends!! When the quarantine is over and this pandemic is under control I want to go out and share with my friends. I'm really looking forward to tour the southern road, I've been told that it's very beautiful and that you fall in love I was recommended to go to Puerto Bertrand, Queulat National Park, Cerro Castillo and Puyuhuapi. It wouldn't be a bad idea to know the parks and reserves of the area. I'd like to go hiking with my son and go watching lizards. I need to see and imbue myself with nature, it would serve me a lot to throw away the stress and release the tensions. I also want to plan a meeting with my friends and have a drink. I miss talking to them very much for hours.  I remember when I went to college and we'd get together in the morning for breakfast, their typical bread and egg. Exquisite!😋or when we sat on the grass or when we saw Games of Thrones or another series in Pabellon Arauco in our spare time. Moments I hope I can repeat when ...
